Autumn Adventures

Well, it’s a bit warmer here than we’re used to at this time of year… but you could have probably guessed that. We’ve been getting out and about to some of the tourist spots around the area. A few weeks back, we visited the San Xavier Del Bac Mission on the south side of Tucson. It is an old elaborate mission from 1700. Last weekend, we went to our first non-Hawkeye college football game ever (tailgating in 90 degree weather just doesn’t feel right). The University of Arizona Wildcats took on Stanford (what is their mascot? the pine tree?). The Wildcats ended up losing the game in the final quarter. We ended up leaving early though and actually encountered two transplanted Hawkeyes on the shuttle bus back to our car. Then last Sunday we met up with one of Jess’s co-workers and his wife and took a trip to Tubac, AZ to a pumpkin patch. We found a lovely pumpkin (who I named Gordo), and plan on turning Gordo into a jack-o-lantern sometime this weekend.

You can check out photos in the gallery. I’ve updated it a bit to make it easier to navigate. Instead of our three random categories + misc. photos, everything is now sorted by year with new albums showing up near the top.
